Backup Photos from USB to Computer and cloud

How to use FileBrowser Professional's's Custom Tasks to backup files from your USB drive to two locations in a single re-usable task. Tap Sync Tasks from FileBrowser's Homescreen and tap create + / Custom Task and then follow the steps below.

First give your task a name like "Backup USB Drive"

Use files from...

A preset folder

"iMac/Photos/"

Choose the location you want to add a folder to, for example "iMac/Photos/"

Create folder...

with date...

format: DD-MM-YYYY

Change "with name" to "with date".
Change the format to DD-MM-YYYY or whatever date format matches your current scheme.
You will see a folder with a plus icon and a name like "03-02-2022". This is the folder that will be created.

Use files from

a preset folder...

"USB"

Choose the USB drive you previously mapped with FileBrowser Professional's

Copy to...

"iMac/Photos/03-02-2022"

never overwrite

Choose the location you want to copy the files to.
The folder you plan to create is listed in this first popup, something like "iMac/Photos/03-02-2022".
Choose your overwrite settings.
You will see a list of files with plus icons next to them. These are the files that will be copied.

Now add more steps to copy the same files to Dropbox as well, creating two backups.

"Dropbox/PhotoBackup/"

Choose the location you want to add a folder to, for example "Dropbox/PhotoBackup/"

Create folder...

with date...

format: DD-MM-YYYY

Change "with name" to "with date".
Change the format to DD-MM-YYYY or whatever date format matches your current scheme.
You will see a folder with a plus icon and a name like "03-02-2022".
This is the folder that will be created.

Use files from

a preset folder...

"USB"

Choose the USB drive you previously mapped with FileBrowserGO.

Copy to...

"Dropbox/PhotoBackup/03-02-2022"

never overwrite

Choose the location you want to copy the files to.
The folder you plan to create is listed in this first popup, something like "Dropbox/PhotoBackup/03-02-2022".
Choose your overwrite settings.
You will see a list of files with plus icons next to them. These are the files that will be copied.

Run Task...

Start Task

Tap Manual to schedule how often you would like to run this Custom Task or just tap start task to run it.
