WebDAV server

Use the new WebDAV server built-in to FileBrowser to:

Copy documents to your iPad/iPhone using your PC or MAC over WiFi

Copy documents to your iPad/iPhone using your PC or Mac over Wi-Fi

How does it work?

Start FileBrowser's server

  • Go to Config > WebDAV Server
  • Set a password
  • Start the Server
  • An address will be assigned. It will be something like http://192.168.0.9:20002
Connect via Mac

Connect via Mac

  • In Finder, choose Go/Connect to Server from the Menu.
  • Connect using the address. It will be something like http://192.168.0.9:20002
  • Enter the account name "fb"
  • and your Password you set before you started the server

  • In Windows File Explorer, enter the address into the top bar.
  • Connect using the address. It will be something like http://192.168.0.9:20002
  • Enter the account name "fb"
  • and your Password you set before you started the server
Browse and Copy from Device to Device

Browse and copy from device to device

Use this great new feature to copy multiple files and folders between iPads and iPhones. Simply start your WebDAV server in FileBrowser and connect to it with another iPhone/iPad running FileBrowser.

Connect via FileBrowser

On your second device:

  • Tap the + icon
  • Select Computer/Drive then WebDAV
  • Connect using the address given on the other device
  • Enter the account name "fb"
  • and your Password you set before you started the server
  • Tap Save
